  • In an ideal scenario, organizations (including businesses) can be a true force for goodness in the world. They can be catalysts / enablers that help individuals thrive and grow and create valuable outcomes for society at large.
  • But unfortunately, the reality of most organizations is tragically different – many business organizations feel like soul-less machines that are only focused on making money and as entities that care neither for external stakeholder nor for growth and wellbeing of their own members.
  • As a student of organizations and human behavior, I have been thinking about this gap between the ‘IDEAL’ vs ‘REAL’ for a long time. OLEF is my sincere and humble attempt to identify and bring together the vital few, root level principles that, at the deepest level, will help us understand why and how this gap often comes about.
  • It is my submission that these principles are not just ‘nice to have ‘, but a ‘must have’, if we want to even have a long shot at building ‘Effective & Thriving Institutions’. These principles can be very useful to diagnose what is not working – and even more importantly – can ideally be proactively woven into the ethos, culture and processes of an organization so that it has the best chance to naturally scale up to become an’ Effective & Thriving Institution’
